Ardell Wispies False Eyelashes Review

I absolutely love fake eyelashes for a night out or specially occasion. I feel the right lashes can soften the look and add an extra touch of femininity. I have run out of my regular Ardell 120 Demi Wispies and was feeling adventurous so decided I would try out Ardell Wispies instead.

Ardell Wispies are longer, not as thick and not as "winged" on the end as the 120 Demi Wispies but I feel they have a more natural look about them, great for day-time events!

So here it is, what they look like on! I absolutely love them. They are so easy to apply (I applied with DUO glue, please note these don't come with glue.) and they look pretty natural!

They have a clear band to blend really easily in with my natural lashes and are made of real human hair so they don't have that fake "sheen" to them cheap lashes do.

I highly recommend Ardell Wispies False Eyelashes to anyone looking to add that bit extra to their eyelashes without going full-blown caterpillar eyes (however sometimes those are fun too!).

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation: Review + Swatch

My first foundation review! I picked up Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Shade 200 Soft Beige the other day from the Discount Drug Store for $19.95. This is a relatively new foundation by Rimmel and it is marketed to have an "Anti-Fatigue Effect + Radiant Glow" with a SPF of 15. Lets see how it went!

Packaging: This foundation comes in a nice glass bottle with a pump. The pump is great as I am prone to pouring foundation everywhere and wasting it! The glass bottle is alright, however I feel it would smash easily if dropped on tiles so be careful.

Texture and Colour: This foundation feels sort of creamy, it's not super runny. I quite like it, it doesn't run everywhere and is really blendable and easy to work with.

I do find the colours in this range to be quite pink based. This was the most yellow based one in the range and I still think it looks slightly pink on my skin, so it's not a prefect match but it is close. (I have immense difficulty matching my skin tone!)

Coverage: I found this foundation had a light to medium coverage. It is a little buildable but you will not get high or full coverage with this foundation. It has a really nice natural finish and does have a "radiant glow" effect! I feel it really helps brighten up my skin especially in those mornings when I didn't get much sleep and my skill is looking a little blah.

I have heard some people talk about a shimmer to this foundation and they're right. There is a VERY subtle shimmer to this foundation, which I didn't notice until I was practically pressing my face against the mirror so don't let this put you off.

Long Lasting: I found this foundation lasted a few hours before I had to apply powder to my t-zone. I think if you have oily skin it probably won't last too long.

Overall: Overall this is a really nice foundation. It feels light on my skin, has good coverage for my skin type and is really easy to put on. It smells nice and isn't overwhelming and has a really nice finish. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light/medium coverage foundation with a natural finish for normal skin.

My Everyday Skincare Routine For Clear Skin (Plus a Hello!)

Greetings Beauty Blogger World!

Let me start off by introducing myself; I am Kat, or Katerina in this case. After dipping my toes in the beauty blogging world a few years ago I have finally decided to just dive right in. My overflowing makeup drawers and wardrobe need somewhat justifying! So I am going to attempt to share my experiences and tips I have picked up over the years when it comes to fashion, styling, and beauty. I hope at least someone finds my ramblings remotely helpful, now on to my first post: My Everyday Skincare Routine For Clear Skin.

To start things off we have me. With no makeup and unedited. Yes, just jumping right in to the deep end with beauty blogging now, nothing to hide behind:

And now for the products I use:

Products: Mary Kay Timewise Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin, Mary Kay Timewise Moisturiser for Normal to Dry Skin, Ego Sun Sense Daily Face SPF30+ Sunscreen, Guerlain Success Future Night Cream, Clinique All About Eyes Eyecream

I use all these products daily and absolutely love them! My skin is mostly normal but tends to get a little dry in winter and is pretty sensitive to harsh chemicals but all these products work a treat. If you think you have similar skin and are after something new I would definitely recommend these, I swear Mary Kay is not just for "mature" skin! (For the record I am 23.)

Does anyone else love these face products? If not, which ones do you swear by for clear skin?!
